Isabel Batara Francis, age 54, of Shelton, loving wife of Robert K. Francis and devoted mother of Christina Francis, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 in Griffin Hospital. Isabel was born in the Philippines, daughter of the late Isabelo and Violeta Dumbrigue Batara. She was a production control planner for OEM Controls. She loved to take care of plants, take photos, and traveling. Her cooking was always loved especially her pancit and spaghetti. She was devoted to church life and devotions. In her past she attended and graduated from Christ The King High School and went on to earn her Bachelors in Mathematics from Columban College in Olongapo City in the Philippines. Her last position in the Philippines was as a liaison in the Subic Bay Municipal Authority (SBMA) before moving to Shelton, Connecticut to start her own family. She worked in Shoprite for eleven years and then in various manufacturing positions before working for OEM Controls where she worked for almost three years. In addition to her beloved husband and child, she is survived by three brothers, Reynaldo, Romulo and Ronilo Batara, also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Rolando Batara. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00a.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main and Gorham Place, Trumbull, with Pastor Jorge Garcia, of the Flowing Spirit Ministries, officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton. Friends may greet the family Thursday from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m., in the funeral home. Face masks are required in the funeral home.
