Pierce Fulton

June 6, 1992 ~ April 29, 2021 (age 28) 28 Years Old

Tribute

Musician Pierce Collins Fulton, great grandson to John “Jack” Collins Fulton, a member of the Paul Whiteman orchestra and Bing Crosby sidekick, passed suddenly on April 29, 2021. Pierce, 28 years old, was born June 6, 1992.  Pierce was the beloved husband of Anastasia, son to Brook and Michael Fulton, brother and sister-in-law to Griff and Hannah Arntzen Fulton, and brother to Addie Fulton. He is also survived by his loving grandparents J Anthony Fulton and Donna Fulton, Aunts Gentra Curran, Docia Boulin, Stacy Kelleher and Uncles Richard and Tony Fulton and William Holt Naff.

Pierce had an amazing music career in his too-short life.  He was a record producer, multi-instrumentalist, musician, and DJ who became well-known in the EDM world in the early 2010s for his assorted styles of original material and remixes. A lifelong musician he released his debut solo EP “Pardon My French” while in his late teens. He began touring extensively as a headliner while continuing to create cutting edge content and attend the University of Vermont. With a performance schedule spanning Central America and Mexico, clubs in the US and Canada, and festivals in Europe, he released the single “Runaway.” It became a hit and reached number one on the Billboard’s Twitter Emerging Artists charts that summer. His song “Kuaga (Lost Time)” also climbed the dance charts later in the year. In 2016 Pierce released “Borrowed Lives” an album inspired by getting back to non-digital instrumental roots of his high school years.

He has produced over 91 works. Pierce was fascinated by music from the time he could walk. He learned to play the guitar before he could read words and spent a majority of his short but full life learning about the way musical instruments worked and were built. Pierce was an avid snowboarder and skateboarder and loved everything about Vermont. He attended Burr and Burton Academy in Manchester, Vermont where he learned the intricacies of music production. He returned to teach at the Academy, sharing his passion for music, instruments, and production in person and remotely.

However far he traveled, and although he lived on the West Coast, Pierce was family oriented, recently moving from Los Angeles back to Connecticut to be closer to home.  It was while producing music in LA that he met the love of his life, Anastasia.  They were married in February. A kind, creative, and gentle soul, Pierce lived life to its fullest, but always remembered to give back to the people and causes that were important to him. He did this in life and in death as an organ donor.
